11.1 Avao Core Foundation
The Avao Core Foundation is the protocol’s neutral steward. It is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the Avao blockchain, managing token mechanics, overseeing emissions, and ensuring that governance processes remain transparent, fair, and aligned with long-term ecosystem goals.
Core Responsibilities:
● Protocol governance: Managing the rules, parameters, and upgrade processes of Avao Chain.
● Token mechanics: Defining emission schedules, vault logic, and governance token dynamics (veAOV).
● Ecosystem rules: Establishing standards for project listings, validator onboarding, and community participation.
● Emission pool oversight: Ensuring that emissions are distributed according to predefined rules and that no party can arbitrarily alter allocations.
● Legal and compliance alignment: Maintaining a clear separation between protocol governance and financial operations to ensure regulatory clarity.
The Foundation does not operate for profit. It exists to protect the protocol’s neutrality and ensure that Avao remains a resilient, community-governed infrastructure layer.
