6.2 Governance Scope and Proposal Flow
Avao’s governance is designed to be transparent and structured— empowering the community to shape the protocol.
What Governance Can Decide
veAOV holders can vote on proposals that affect the technical, strategic, and community-facing direction of the ecosystem:
● Protocol Parameters Adjustments to block size, gas limits, validator onboarding rules, emission schedules, and upgrade timing.
● Ecosystem Partnerships Approving integrations with other chains, dApps, or infrastructure providers.
● Community Initiatives Funding for hackathons, educational programs, regional hubs, and ecosystem growth campaigns.
● Grants and Ecosystem Funding Voting on whether grant proposals should advance for final review and potential allocation, based on ecosystem alignment, feasibility, and long-term impact.
● Launchpad Listings Voting on which projects should be featured on the Avao Launchpad, based on alignment and quality.
● Hub Curation Recommending which projects to highlight, feature, or remove from the Avao Hub.
This boundary ensures that Avao governance remains focused on infrastructure stewardship, not financial control.
Proposal Access and Voting
All active and historical governance proposals are accessible directly within Avao Wallet, under the Governance tab. From there, users can:
● Review proposal details, including rationale, parameters, and proposer identity.
● View current vote breakdowns and quorum thresholds.
● Cast votes using their veAOV balance.
● Track proposal outcomes and implementation status.
This integration ensures that governance is accessible, transparent, and verifiable — not hidden behind third-party interfaces or opaque processes.

This lifecycle illustrates how token commitment transforms into governance power, enabling users to shape the protocol’s future through structured, transparent, and non-financial decision-making.
